Abbie Thomas:

Independent singer-songwriter, Abbie Thomas, mixes pop melodies with soulful vocals and hints of Blues, Jazz, and a vibe from the songwriters of the 70’s. Touring regionally, she has most recently opened for Laine Hardy, Girl Named Tom, and Cathy Richardson of Jefferson Starship. She’ll be co-headlining a midwest tour with Canadian artist Geneviève Racette in the fall of 2023.

Her standout music video, “Fireflies” has earned over 10 nominations for awards, including a “Best Female Solo Artist” nomination in 2021 from the California Music & Video Awards, and a “Best Independent Music Video” nomination for the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. She also earned the vibrant praises of Grammy winner Jim Peterik after becoming a finalist at Michigan’s Acorn Theater Singer Songwriter contest in June of 2019. It was the 2019 competition that turned Abbie from a part-time hobbyist, to full time musician by 2021.

She currently keeps a 130+ per year live show calendar, and also just composed for, and performed with the Elkhart County, Indiana Symphony Orchestra. She just wrapped up her first short film score, as well as, a composing/performance collaboration with the South Bend, IN Symphony Quartet with her backing band.

2023 brought 6 international award nominations, including 2 from the Hollywood Independent Music Awards (“Album of the Year” and “Best Live or Streamed Performance”). She has also been nominated for 4 Josie Music Awards (Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for “Dirty Little Things”, Entertainer of the Year, and Songwriter Achievement for her unreleased track “Lucky Penny”.) The awards show will take place at The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, TN in October of 2023.
As an independent artist with no team, Thomas surpassed 100,000 streams on major platforms in early 2023, and new music is currently being recorded, and slated to begin releasing in late 2023.

Genviéve Racette:

Nationally renowned, Québécois folk-pop musician, Geneviève Racette, has captivated listeners with her gentle, yet compelling, emotional resonance, and garnered impressive industry support for her folk-pop tracks ever since her first EP in 2014. Through her vulnerable lyricism and ethereal vocals, Geneviève has emerged as a rising star in both French and English-speaking Canadian music scenes.
Satellite, Geneviève’s third full-length record (March 2022), is a 9-song collection delivering honest stories of self-discovery and reflection through the cycle of love. The album filled with intimate vocals, lush instruments and expressive harmonies, evokes moments of love, heartbreak, healing, forgiveness and ultimately falling in love again. Like a body orbiting a star in the silence and emptiness of the universe, a satellite depends on the other to maintain its orbit, a fragile, solitary and uncertain love. Each of us will find ourselves in this cycle of love, in this eternal period of beginnings and endings.
The recognition Satellite received upon its release has been even greater than Geneviève has experienced in the past. With glowing critique from major outlets, including Rolling Stone, Exclaim!, CBC, Women of Americana, Americana Music Association, Sirius XM and countless other publications and radio stations, this has undoubtedly been her most successful release to date.
