7:00 pm

June 23, 2019

Earthwork Music and The Livery presents: “Earthwork Music Sunday Showcase at The Livery”- a night where “art meets activism”. The June showcase will feature Graham Parsons & Mike Savina (of The Go Rounds)

7 PM || $10 suggested donation || In benefit of Title Track!

About Graham, Mike, and The Go Rounds:

The Go Rounds have used Psychedelic Americana Pop, Twang-Rock & Jelly-Roll and [bits of all your favorite bands exploded into rock n roll confetti] as placeholders intending to cast an umbrella over the sprawling landscape of their sound. Fingerpicked hollow body guitar makes space for slashing fuzz tones; down tempo, introspective ambiance opens into synth-led dance pop; spellbinding vocals weave a silver cord through this field of lush textures and intricate arrangements — a variegated sonic voyage that changes and returns like the seasons, flourishing and weathering the Beauty and the Fury. The result is an experience that is at once accessible, engaging, evocative and surprising– the comfort of a sedan and the exhilaration of driving fast on a loose gravel road.

Born from the creative minds at the respective organizations, this series aims to combine music that was curated using the expansive Earthwork Music Collective roster, with a non-profit for an evening in which “art meets activism”. The Earthwork artists have long frequented The Livery stage, and possess a unique ability to unite communities through their song craft and passion to better the world. With these combined forces, each showcase event will be in benefit of a focused non-profit that also shares a sense of urgency in assisting the various environmental, and humanitarian issues that challenge the great state of Michigan.

The series kicked off in March 2019, and then run once a month for the remainder of the year. Each show will be a unique pairing of artists, who will share stories of success, struggles, song meanings, and other antidotes about their journey along the way! The evening will be broken into 2 sets of music, allowing for an intermission, along with a chance for the featured non-profit to take the stage.

This partnership hopes to continually expand, announcing new goals, ambitions, and milestones along the way!
