Chris Kang is a singer-songwriter based in St. Joseph, MI. Since he started songwriting at 14, Chris has dabbled with blues, folk, acoustic pop, soul, and other genres. Sometimes, he derives influences from two or more styles for particular tunes. He’s been performing solo with his acoustic guitar for the past few years.
His first EP, Recollection, was released October last year and was purely acoustic. However, his next two EP’s, Wiser Man and Pentamuse, gave a full-band sound to Chris‘s work. Because of this, the idea of actually playing with a full band came to fruition, and Chris is happy to bring The Chris Kang Band to The Livery Microbrewery on July 29!
The Chris Kang Band consists of Chris Kang (rhythm guitar, vocals), Ivan Torres (bass guitar) , Benjamin Cripe (lead guitar), and Matthew Sypian (drums, backing vocals).
