2 PM – “Pay What You Want”!

Local singer/songwriter Mike Struwin has a new claim to fame: he’s now a published author! On Sunday, November 12, 2017 at The Livery in Benton Harbor, Struwin and family celebrated the launch of his new project, “Campfire Stu”: a story and musical performance series aimed towards kids, but geared toward the enjoyment of parents, too! Mike will make a return trip to The Livery with a performance of the music from Campfire Stu…..and then follow with a set of music geared towards the adults! (Kid friendly, of course!)

Earlier last year, Struwin, whose “day job” is a school-based speech pathologist for Dowagiac Public Schools, signed a distribution contract with Mascot Books of Herndon, VA for “Campfire Stu and the Backwoods Jamboree”, an interactive children’s book illustrated by Muskegon native and Grand Rapids Art Prize finalist Eric Kravako.

The book for early-readers was released in stores nationwide on October 17, 2017 and features the character “Stu” as he travels on a “Walkabout”, meets new animal friends, solves problems and learns about responsibility and cooperation.

What makes this particular book so unique? Each copy comes with a coupon to download a special companion CD – for free – featuring an audiobook performed by a full cast of award winning voice actors and containing accompanying songs and music, written and performed by Struwin and company.

So, while many authors host book signings, Mike Struwin puts on an all-out jamboree.

Join us for for some family fun on Sunday, May 6th!
